Ashwood (Rochdale) Ltd Company Information

Ashwood (Rochdale) Ltd commenced business in 1986 with the two present Directors, Mr Ian Wood and Mr Robert Newsham, trading under the name of Ashwood Joinery Ltd.

Both Directors came together with over 20 years experience in the construction industry as qualified joiners.

The company was set up principally as a high clas manufacturing joiners taking on small construction contracts. Over the ensuing years, the company has grown from a turnover of £400,000 in 1986 by nearly 300% in 1996 to £1.5m, having become main contractors for large prestigious building contracts.

At the end of 1991 it was decided by the Directors to invest in an automated franchised system of producing windows, conservatories and porches, etc. This, they felt, would be advantageous in an ever increasingly competitive market. This system is now running in conjunction with the traditional joinery system and offers customers a wider range of products at a more competitive price.

Ashwood Joinery was renamed Ashwood (Rochdale) Ltd in 1992 so as not to mislead potential customers into thinking the company was solely a joinery company.

By 1994, Ashwood (Rochdale) Ltd had purchased land in Rochdale and built their head office and new joinery workshop.

Today, the company grows from strength to strength.
